Sony is the first name in consumer electronics for many customers. Sony manufactures just about everything from notebook computers to camcorders to televisions to cordless phones. Sony cordless phones are available in both 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz models.
All Sony 2.4 GHz are designed for single line operation. Each model is expandable with the purchase of additional handsets so up to four different phones can be used on one phone line. All Sony phones feature a Caller ID/Call Waiting display. Phones in the 2.4 GHz line offer a walkie talkie function usable when two or more phones operate on the same line. Phones in the 2.4 GHz line have Digital Spread Spectrum Technology for clearer phone calls. Phones in this line also offer a 70 name/number Caller ID memory and a 50 name/number phone book. Some models within this line include an integrated answering machine. Other systems within this line include both a corded base phone and a cordless phone. Each phone in this line includes an integrated speakerphone function.
Sony 900 MHz cordless phones are available in several different models. Several models in this line feature integrated digital answering machines with up to three mailboxes. Messages can be retrieved remotely. All are single line phones. Some include a base with keypad. All phones in this line offer call screening through an LCD Caller ID/Call Waiting screen on the handset. Most models offer the ability to pre-set up to 10 phone numbers for one-touch speed-dialing. As many as 50 names and numbers can be stored in the phonebook directory. Up to 20 numbers are saved in the Caller ID memory. Models with a base station have a page/intercom function. Talk time on this line is up to 6 hours. Some models in this line are digital for better sound quality and added security.
